Anaesthetic Specialist Sydney
About Dr Marc Capon
Dr Marc Capon graduated from Dundee University and interned in Edinburgh before moving to Australia.
Specialist Experience and Positions
After several years working in Intensive Care, he trained to be an anaesthetist at the Royal Prince Alfred (RPA) hospital here in Sydney. RPA is one of the largest quaternary hospitals in Australia and thus Dr Capon cut his teeth on a variety of complicated pathology and some serious trauma cases.
He did his fellowship at Royal North Shore Hospital (RNS), and in addition to his clinical work he started his journey to becoming a sub-specialist in Anaesthetic Related Allergies. Through this role he had a clinical lecturer position with Sydney University.
Beyond the work
To maintain his skills, he continues to work in the public sector and has positions at RPA, RNS and the Northern Beaches hospital (NBH). These public roles allow him to maintain a breadth of practice which means he feels comfortable dealing with whatever medical or surgical complexities may arise.
Dr Capon has worked with Dr Kwei for many years and understands the multifaceted concerns of patients undergoing plastic surgery for reconstructive, or cosmetic purposes.
Patient Care
While Dr Kwei focuses on the surgery, Dr Capon’s role is to care for his patient, to keep them safe and comfortable. He is happy to answer any questions or concerns about your anaesthetic.
